1. Immu-Cell


Is a component that has been bio-technologically developed from a natural oligopeptide, which has been isolated and purified from the cytosol of a naturally occurring, carefully selected and optimally cultured strain of Saccharomyces Cervisiae species by the latest methods of bio fermentation.


The immune system of the epidermis: The capacity of the skin to resist various external damaging influences is mainly due to the properties of the epidermis. Keratinocytes represent more than 80% to 90% of the cells of this layer and are comprised of the basal, prickle, squamous and granular cells. Until recently these cells have been thought of as being immunologically irrelevant, although being an important and integral component of the immune system of the skin. It could be shown that the keratinocytes secrete various cytokines with a broad spectrum of biological activity and that nearly all dermatoses are accompanied by a marked modification in the keratinocytes structure.


Saccharomyces Cervisiae is a type of yeast species and is an important microorganism in the modern biological research and biotechnology. These unicellular, oval living organisms belong to the great group of fungi. They are about 0.007 mm by 0.009 mm and reproduce themselves relatively quickly by sprouting. Several factors substantiate the biotechnological significance of Saccharomyces Cervisiae. They are easy to cultivate, grow quickly, have no viruses and are non-toxic. In addition Saccharomyces Cervisiae are mechanically and genetically quite stable and can tolerate osmotic stress and interaction with chemicals.


Yeast cultures have gained their eminence as an important tool in the production of active principles from biotechnology because of the easy by which they can be cultivated in high performance bioreactors under controlled conditions. Yeast are constructed much more simply than other eukaryotic cells and therefore can be cultivated in a quicker and more reliable manner. Molecular biological investigations have shown that essential molecular mechanisms of the cell cycle are very similar if not identical in all eukaryotes. This being the case, the yeast kingdom represents the model system for biochemical investigations. Yeast can be cultivated highly in a highly reproducible way in defined and controlled media and under optimal conditions. They have proven to be a good expression system for proteins. In fact, it has been reported that more than 100 different proteins have been produced in bioreactors by yeast.


Immucell: is isolated from the cytosol of a carefully selected and optimally cultured strain of Saccharomyces Cervisiae. Immucell is an interesting oligopeptide fraction having remarkable properties.
